LAWN & GARDEN > Limestone

Limestone

• Applications of limestone provide calcium and magnesium, but most importantly lime raises the pH of the soil
• Ideal levels of pH are between 6.25-6.75
• By having the correct pH, plants have more efficient water and nutrient uptake
• The correct pH will also aide in the prevention of weeds by allowing the crop or turf maintain a higher health status and better compete with weeds
• Applications of lime on established lawns may be made at any time of the year.
